Parsley tea is a herbal tea crafted from either dried or fresh parsley and is associated with many impressive health benefits. No wonder it’s widely used to garnish a number of dishes in many cuisines across the world. It’s an excellent source of both vitamins A and K and may supply your body with an adequate supply of iron, fiber, and potassium. But the best part, like other herbs, it can be used to brew a hot cup of delicious tea.

Parsley is filled with nutritional and healthy benefits, including antioxidants and flavonoids. When used to prepare herbal tea, it will give you all the nutrients you would get when you consume it raw in salads and dressings.

Recipe – How to Make Parsley Tea

1: Using Fresh Parsley Leaves

Step 1: Put the fresh parsley leaves in a pot or cup

Step 2: Pour hot boiling water over the parsley and give it a quick stir.

Step 3: Leave the mixture to steep for about 4-5 minutes

Step 4: Strain and discard the leaves once ready

Step 5: Add lemon and or sweetener to taste.

2: Using dried parsley leaves

Step 1: Add two teaspoons of dried parsley leaves into a cup

Step 2: Pour hot boiling water over it and let it steep for 5-6 minutes

Step 3: Strain the dried parsley using a mesh strainer

Enjoy your drink while hot!

  • Adding a bit of honey, sweetener, or, lemon juice adds flavor to your tea and makes it more palatable
  • If you prefer a stronger and bolder flavor, let it steep for a little longer
  • Use a tea ball when making your parsley tea. Alternatively, use a small sieve
  • To preserve the quality and maintain high flavor, store your fresh parsley leaves in the fridge
